The Future of Business Education

The Stephen M. Ross School of Business (Ross) is the business school of the University of Michigan. Numerous publications have ranked the Ross School of Business' Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA), Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Executive Education programs among the top in the country and the world. Scott DeRue was named Dean of Ross Business School last fall, however he is not new to the University of Michigan.  He joined the School in 2007 and since has served as the associate dean for Executive Education, professor of management, director of the Sanger Leadership Center, and faculty director of the Emerging Leaders Program.  Scott’s research focuses on leadership, and team and organizational development, the pursuit of which saw him scale Mount Everest in 2013.  Join us to learn how Dean DeRue  sees the future of business education.
Note: Our meeting on August 30 will be held at Weber’s on Jackson Road as an introduction to a temporary meeting location for us starting in May .  Next spring, we will be moving to Weber’s while the Michigan Union goes through extensive renovation.  We will hear during the business meeting from the Weber family about how they are planning for our weekly meetings.
