Jeanice Swift, Superintendent: The State of Ann Arbor Public Schools in 2017

Jeanice Swift joined the Ann Arbor Public Schools as Superintendent of Schools in the fall of 2013.  Prior to coming the Ann Arbor, she served as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction in Colorado Springs.  Her career began as a classroom teacher, advancing to teacher coach, school principal and central office administrator.   She is a graduate of the University of Texas (BA); earned a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Colorado and a PhD in Educational Leadership at the University of Denver.  In Dr. Swift’s current position, she serves 17,500 Ann Arbor students.  Please join us to hear Dr. Swift tell us about the state of Ann Arbor Public Schools including, student achievement, current programs and initiatives, community engagement, community education and recreation, facilities and physical property and finances.
