Ambassadorial Scholars
(Outbound)
Chair: Roberto Frisancho
Time: varies and is
seasonal
Size: 7
The purpose is to select from among scholarship applicants a person to recommend to District 6380 for consideration at that level. If there are no applicants, the committee does not meet. The number of applications received in the past has ranged from none to three. Applicants submit a packet of materials which committee members read in advance of one-on-one interviews. Interviews have typically lasted from one to two hours for each candidate.
The work including reading materials and interviews ranges from three to six hours, depending on the number of candidates. Interviews are generally scheduled in late winter or early spring, on the same day, in a Michigan Union room. (In the absence of candidates this year, no time was required.)
