The major purpose of the committee is to provide quality programs and speakers during the year. The committee presents about 49 programs during the year which are carefully previewed and evaluated by committee members.
Committee emphasis has been to present balanced programs; academic, athletic, local and national interests.

The committee meets monthly and we have several agenda items for each month. We regularly go over our database of potential speakers and then establish some possible dates for presentation. Individual committee members become Contact Persons and arrange for a speaker to be scheduled. Contact persons are responsible for obtaining the following information: Position of Speaker, Title of the Presentation, Small (4-5 lines) of a Description of the Presentation, Introducer/Host Selection, and need for AV Equipment. Usually Contact Persons are selected by a voluntary approach. During meetings, committee members interact in discussion and we also make comments about previous month's programs.

Contact Persons will have some work in reaching the potential speaker and obtaining the necessary information. Committee members are encouraged to nominate potential speakers and to encourage our Rotary members to also nominate speakers/programs. We sometimes have a small committee to work on special programs, topics and then to present to the entire committee.
