What Rotary means to me: President Len Stenger

Rotary is Fun!!  We have great speakers, talented musicians and impressive community leaders as members.  Our speakers are routinely timely, informative, entertaining and authoritative.   Rotary is a welcoming group of people who are motivated by service, have a desire for fun and fellowship and who work to live an ethical life.  Our members seem always willing to answer the call whether it is planning projects, tutoring, traveling abroad for international project work, making financial contribution to international or community projects, or just digging holes to plant trees. Personally, Rotary gives me a way to leverage my community service gene and in particular provides a vehicle for helping with dire humanitarian needs both locally and across the globe.

I am proud to be a member of a club that has been part of the fabric of the Ann Arbor Community for almost 96 years and has contributed in innumerable areas of need.  In addition, over the past decade and a half, it has done substantial good works in some of the poorest parts of the world.  Finally, it is satisfying to be part of an international organization that in aggregate has done so much good in the world in championing Polio eradication, clean water, basic education and so much more.  Few organizations provide so much opportunity for doing good while having good fun and fellowship.
