The Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Chicago, with thirty-plus years of diplomatic experience including previous posts in Russia, Kazakhstan and other Eastern European countries, will apply the wisdom and insight gained through that rich experience to remarks about our two countries' crucial bilateral relationship.
U-M Men's Basketball Coach John Beilein . . . Progress Report & Season Preview
Last season, his second at U-M, Coach Beilein led the team to dramatic early-season victories over Duke and UCLA, a 21-14 season record, and into the NCAA tournament for the first time in eleven years, making it to the second round. That tied the record for largest single-season turn-around in program history and made him one of only seven coaches to lead four different teams to the NCAA tournament. Coach Beilein will reflect on progress to date, profile this team’s players, and preview its prospects for the 2009-10 season.
